Indian Lake, MI Formerly of Lansing Age 95, died September 27, 2006. He was born May 7, 1911 in Russelville, KY. Rev. Smith was an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene since 1959, but was a licensed minister since December 1944. Church was his whole life, he loved the Lord, the Church and his family. He enjoyed and wrote poetry, loved to travel, especially his trip to Jerusalem, and was very involved in the Holiness Campground in Lakeland, FL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Treva. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; daughters, Jacqueline (Loren) Shattuck and Ruth (Richard) Crittenden; son, James F. (Melanie) Smith; 6 grandchildren, Jeff, Deborah, Scott, Kevin, Camden and Jim; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30, 11:00 a.m. at the Kendon Drive Church of the Nazarene, 711 Kendon Drive, Lansing with the Rev. Thomas A. Luttrell, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Fune! ral Homes, 621 S.
