Oct 1865 in Canada, married abt 1885? Herbert Nelson SMITH (b. 10 Jul 1865, Lansing, Ingham, Michigan). They had two sons, Herbert Nelson Smith, b. 22 Feb 1886, Lansing, Ingham, Michigan, and Earl T. Smith, b. 27 Apr 1888, Lansing, Ingham, Michigan. This family was living in Lansing in 1900. According to the census, Elizabeth's father was born in England, and her mother in Canada. Elizabeth and Herbert were presumably divorced somewhere between 1900 and 1909. Herbert (Sr.) later lived in Kansas and Washington state, and the two sons remained in Michigan (both died in that state in the 1970's). I would like to find out more about Elizabeth's family, what happened to her after 1900, and get details about their marriage and divorce. Thanks Brett Smith [email protected]
