Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" My g grandfather served in Co. E, MI 1st Engineers in the Civil War. He died in 1910. He lived in Gratiot County but sometime before he died, he attended a Reunion of his company in Lansing, MI, where he and probably others received a small medallion. I am trying to find out when that Reunion was held so I can look in some microfilmed newspaper and read about it. A man who has a Civil War Web Site told me: 1. That my best bet would be to search for a site dealing with only the Engineers. How would I find such a site? Can anyone help me on this? 2. This man also told me there was an Engineer Memorial on the Capitol grounds in Lansing that might have been dedicated around that time. He said that Reunions were very often held at a battlefield or memorial dedication. Does anyone know if there is an Engineer Memorial on the Capitol grounds? Does anyone know anything about this Memorial?
