He had been a life long resident of Lansing; a member of the Judson Memorial Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army. He was a professional meat cutter since 1945 having been associated with the Market Basket, National Food Stores and retiring from A & P Stores. Surviving are wife, Irene; 2 sons, John of Tulsa, OK, James of Flushing; 3 step-sons, Gary Howell of Holt, Thomas and Carl Howell, both of Mason; 12 grandchildren, sister, Margaret Hildreth of Holt; brother J. Edward Dohm of Grand Ledge; several nieces and nephews. Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Charles W. Woodson, Pastor of the Judson Memorial Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Thurs. in the Estes-Leadley Chapel with interment in Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon Tues. and the family will receive friends from 2! -4 & 7-9 p.m. Wed. Pallbearers will be George Dohm, Peter Dohm, William Face, Donald Charles, Paul Rambo and Greg Rambo. (Ed. note: Mr. Dohm was born 7/12/1919 per the Social Security Death Index)
