    1. Looking for Makeley's in the Bunker Hill area from 1850 -- 1880
    2. I am looking for the Zacheriah Makeley family. Sometimes spelled Makely or Meighly. Zacheriah was born in NY in abt 1818 married there to one Sally Ann ? b. 1822. Zacheriah and Sally Ann had the following children Catherine, Zilfra, William III, and SM Makely. William and SM are born in Michigan and the other two in NY. According to MI death records, Sally Ann died 15 May 1860. From there, he married his housekeeper Emily and had Alfred, Ettio Acres? (census not clear). Then there is the third wife, which may be the second wife, her name is Emaline (Emily --Emaline so close not sure if different women) and had Almeda and Blanch Another brother, also moved to Michigan but to Clinton county and his name is Frederick Knapp Makeley; he married and had children also. Another brother stayed in New York not too far from his parents in Monroe Co. living in Allegany Co. NY. His name was Peter William. Does anyone know this family? Can anyone fill in branches and correct data? Looking for any info on this line of the family. She is the last of the pioneer women, who came to Holt over seventy years ago with her husband, Dennis Long. They came by stage through the unsettled country to Holt, where they purchased a farm, cleared it and have lived there ever since. She has always enjoyed the best of health until the last few weeks. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eunice Service, one grand-daughter, Mrs. Earl Lamereaux and three great-grandchildren, Leonard, Kenneth and Robert Lamereaux. The funeral services were at the home Monday at 2 o'clock, interment at Maple Ridge cemetery.

The Heeneys were from County Louth Ireland, Parish of Kilsaran. I'm curious as to where some of the other Irish families in Bunker Hill came from, including Winters, Wood, McCann, and Farrel. Perhaps these families were related in Ireland?
