Hi I'm trying to find out about my mother's relatives. Her maiden name was Kocsis born May 1913 in Lansing. Her mother's maiden name was Lemak. She had a sister named Verona (sp). Mother's family went back to Hungary then she came back in the late 30s. I have totally no idea what relationship there is with Estok except the Kocsis family lived near them (on the same street). There could have been a marriage between my mother and one of the sons (he died). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked on all the freebie genealogy sources I can. Campbell who's last known residence was White Oak, Ingham, Michigan. I have been told that Eli shows on the 1894 State Census for Michigan, however, I have been unable to verify that. I know that his wife is shown in the 1900 Census as a widow, therefore he died for certain between 1880 (last census he shows) and 1900. Any and all help is appreciated since a request to the Ingham County records office turned up no record.

I couldn't find a vintage picture but here's the way it looks today http://www.masonmichigan.net/pictures/edenschool2006.gif . It's located on the north side Barnes Road on the east side of the railroad tracks east of Eden Road, here on the google map http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=2080+Barnes+Rd,+Leslie,+MI+49251 . There was also another school called the Hubbard School a mile east of Eden on Barnes road in Vevay Township. Today it looks like this http://www.masonmichigan.net/pictures/hubbardschool2006.gif . Both schools were absorbed into the Mason school district in (I think) the mid 1950's.

Bell, b. abt. 1882 in Missouri, died in Lansing in 1952 and Emma J. Ross Bell-Klotz. Emma was b. abt. 1889 in Saginaw and died in Lansing 1957. She was the daughter of Heman and Mary Ross. She remarried after John died, marrying a Klotz. Both are buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. They had four children: Gladys, Opal, Clarence and Ernest. Emma was a half sister to my grandfather and until last year, I didn't know she even existed. I talked with my aunt and she was so evasive, it's like this is the deep dark secret of the family.
