He was b. ca. 1810, NY, she was b. ca. 1811, Penn. In the household were JAMES E., 12; JULIETTE M., 8; WILLIAM H., 5; EDWARD A., age 3 Also with them were Sarah Taylor, age 10; John Taylor, age 8, all b. in Mich. It is probably this Juliette who married in 1855...it wasn't unusual at age 13 or 14.

Spring. Hezekiah married in NY to Caroline Clark. In 1845, he built a public house in Howell known as "Union Hall." He afterwards was a contractor on the Detroit & Grand River Rd. He later moved to Williamston, where he commenced building a hotel, but died before it was completed. His remains were brought to Howell for interment.

The book that I have said it is called the Alchin Farm Cemetery. It's the older of the two cemeteries in Leroy Twnshp and is located on Van Orden Road, southwest of Webberville in Section 23. It was originally the private burial ground for the Edmund Allchin Family.
