Also tried all of Michigan and nothing close to Van Rensselaer as a head. Michigan did not require birth registration until 1867. PINCKNEY, the son of Thomas PINCKNEY and Rebecca WEST PINCKNEY. He was born in 1835 and died before 1880. I know he was married to a woman named Rebecca (surname unknown) and had children Robert, George and Rebecca. There may even be living descendants in the area today. I'd appreciate any information on this family. I know that the father Thomas PINCKNEY died in Dec 1849 and that his wife Rebecca remarried a Stephen SHERLOCK or SHERBOCK. But I don't know what happened to the mother Rebecca or her other children (other than John D. PINCKNEY and Matilda PINCKNEY CHALKER, wife of Miles Horace CHALKER). PINCKNEY is sometimes spelled PINKNEY so I am including both spellings in the surname list attached to this query.

    1. [MIINGHAM] Echo Place School
    2. Michael Miller
    3. Hi MIGEN Listers, I am attempting to find the location of the Echo Place School. My grandfather once won a book of the complete works of William Shakespeare, whereupon its opening page is written: "First Prize for Potato Crop, Echo Place School, 1915." He would have been 14 years old at the time. Does this ring any bells for anyone??? I know the family was in Lansing, MI from approximately 1892-1901 or later and in Coldwater, Branch Co. in 1904. They may have moved on or stayed in MI as late as 1920ish. The school's location is important because I'm trying to trace the family's movements between 1904 and 1922. Sincerely, Michael J. Miller

    1. [MIINGHAM] MILLER/GREEN Marriage Record
    2. Michael Miller
    3. Hi guys, I just learned last night the marriage date for my great grandparents. Here's the stuff: William Albert MILLER, b.1868 in Lee, MA, married Anna Luella GREEN, b. 1868 in Williamston, MI, on June 14, 1892. Children born: a.. Evelyn Mary MILLER, b. Nov. 13, 1895 in Lansing MI; b.. Russell James MILLER, b. Feb. 15,1901 in Lansing, MI; c.. Louise Anna Miller - 1904 Coldwater, MI. I am fairly sure William and Anna were married in Ingham Co., MI, but not 100%. I've already use Vital Chek for Anna's birth record and got the big disappointment letter with $20 down the drain. How can I hunt down the place where they were married before I contact the clerk for a record? I'd like to find the census record for 1900 on Ancestry.com as well but that is not indexed yet and it will wear me out to browse the whole county. Does anyone have access to the census index for this county and could copy and scan the William Miller page and email me? Do I ask too much? sincerely, Michael J. Miller
