Surnames: LAWRENCE, HEATH, GILMORE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hFB.2ACE/951 Message Board Post: I am hoping that someone in the Lansing area can help me with this query. With the assistance of Town Historian at Geneseo, New York, I have discovered a letter written in 1968 by Charles H. LAWRENCE of Lansing, Michigan, to Miss Margaret E. GILMORE of Geneseo, New York, in which he names five of the eleven children of Sybil HEATH and Joseph W. LAWRENCE. He states that Joseph was born on November 20, 1770. In the letter Charles also mentions hand-drawn maps, a family bible, copies of New York militia military commissions, a "Day Book" belonging to Joseph W. LAWRENCE, Jr., and "the book" of at least 20 pages which was printed in 1905. Is it possible that Charles may have published his research or donated this collection to a local library or society? Does anyone know Charles or his work? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sue Kelly
