I am curious if this cemetery is privately owned? Or if it is a township cemetery? The next thing is we need to check to see if the library of Michigan has cemetery records? Then if they don't we can do a walk through and document the tombstone inscribtions. I am really not far from you. Could you email me and we can talk about a plain. Looks like our Michigan weather is breaking so we will be able to work on it soon if need be. Thanks, L. Morton

Surnames: Taggart, LaVanway Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hFB.2ACE/957 Message Board Post: Seeking any information on Lottie (LaVanway) Taggart who was married to Albert L. Taggart in 1909 at Isabella County MI. After their marriage, Lottie and Albert moved to Lansing MI, Ingham County. Lottie died in Lansing in 1934 and was burried at Isabella County MI in Mount Pleasant. Her family lived in the Mount Pleasant area. Based on the help of others, I have found that in the 1900 census of Michigan, Isabella county, Chippewa township, that there was a Joseph Lavanway who was the "Head of the household". He was born Feb 1828, married 12 years, and was 72 years of ageat the time of the census. It indicates that he was born in France as were his parents and he came to America in 1839. His occupation was listed as a farmer. Clarlsha, his wife, was born April 1861 and was a mother of 4. Three children were indicated as survived. She is also indicated as being born in Michigan. Her parents were indicated as having been born in New York and Michigan. Her daughters, are indicated as Bertha B. daughter (born Sept. 1889 in Michigan) and Lottie B. (born 1894 In Michigan). Lottie was born in 1893 and married Albert Taggart (b. 1883 in Isabella County Mi) on October 14, 1909 in Mt. Pleasant Michigan (married by Minister of the Gospel Campbell). Albert was the brother to Merilla Taggart (married to Frank Armstrong) and the son of Albert Taggart and Minerva Loomis of Isabella County. Witnesses to Lottie and Albert's marriage were Bertha Lavanway (who was apparently her sister) and Millard Strouse. Lottie's relatives may also have lived around the Flint Mi area in the 1900's. Any related info or leads would be appreciated. Thanks. David A. Taggart
