If anyone has access to the marriage records I need the date of marriage for Gus or Gustav Thompson to Joanna or Johanna (possibly Galivan) in the 1861-1863 period. Thanks David Strickland [email protected] Dallas, TX
I am searching for cemetery records for the Cranson family who were early settlers of Onondaga. I would especially like to find Jonathan Cranson who was 85 years old in the 1850 census, and probably died before 1860. Some of the other Cransons who died in Onondaga were: Salina Cranson d. 10 July 1838 in infancy. Nauressa (Nerrissa) Cranson d. 13 April 1847. Orville Cranson d. 13 May 1847. Hiram Cranson d. 17 July 1850. Oris Cranson d. 29 Oct 1856. Darwin Cranson d. 5 May 1857. Any information about the Cransons of Onondaga would be welcome. Thanks, Syl in Florida

He married my Aunt Helen Griffus, my father's sister. I have the 6th airplane engine that he made. The first five, he wasn't happy with and gave them to neighbors children to play with. He gave my father (his brother-in-law) engine #1006. They started with #1000. I got it from my father. Maybe I can help you, just send an email and let me know what info you are looking for. Joyce

I'm pretty sure they got married in Grand Rapids,Kent county. When asked for a copy of the certificate, they said it's probably in Lansing,as they couldn't find it. Why should it be in Lansing ? Was it because they were from abroad ? The marriage probably was in 1909/1911. Hope someone can answer this question. Rian in the Netherlands

My grandmother was born in 1886. I know that in the census for 1901 there were only 15 Belbecks in the whole of the UK. Can you let me have any information you might have that links up. I have also researched the phone records for London England today and there are no Belbecks in London at present, one in Surrey only. I think we must be rare! Regards, Sue

Henry, then Charles Spencer and finally my 2nd great grand uncle Siolam Capen. The 1880 census shows Siolam and Sophronia living in Locke Twp with 4 of thier children and 2 of Sophronia's children from her previous marriages. Newman Cole is listed as age 16, farmhand, being born in MI , father born in NY, mother OH. If you decide to look this up in the census Siolam's name is spelled wrong (Salour) and Sophronia is listed as Elizabeth, which I believe was her middle name. Sophronia is buried in Rowley Cemetery in Locke Twp next to Siolam
