Thanks Linda - I'll check out that site you recommended. I'm sure I have it bookmarked from earlier references. I do know that Mary Gagnon's parent's were Peter and Bridget Gagnon. Peter was from Canada and Bridget was born in Ireland. I have also come across other Croze families in the area that were also from Canada and worked with the tugboats. I'm sure Miro is connected with these families as well. My mother-in-laws uncle (in his 90's) agreed they were related and he had heard stories when he was younger but couldn't tell me HOW they were related. The nearest Family History Center I had been going to was burned (in Lansing) earlier this year. So I'll have to find another place to go til they rebuild. I think that Miro Croze and Mary Gagnon were probably married about 1876 in the Portage Twp. area. Her family was living in Portage Twp in 1860 and that is where she died in 1888. Her parents and some siblings are buried at Forest Hill Cemetery. I haven't come across where she is buried yet. Thanks again for the help. Kathy
