    2. Hi Pat, I have Rev.Ilmonens book and i took a look at what he wrote. The Blansfarti name could not be found ANYWHERE on my sites. No such name exists anywhere. I was puzzled as i have not found any misiformation on his writings yet. I looked in Sweden, Finland and nothing. Using the family seach site after a bit of "finnagling" i found a marriage for them in Haaparanda Sweden which is the border town with Lapland Finland. One thing i have learned is when i search for names in Norway or Sweden they have a way of changing the spelling.I posted below thier marriage. by the way, Haparanda Sweden and Tornio, Finland may be changing their name to "Eurocity".One of the worst names i have ever heard! It reminds me too much of the electronic "Europop" music. Karunki parish records only go up to the early 1800's right now on Hiski. They have updates at regular intervals. http://www.genealogia.fi/indexe.htm Alicia ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- EMMA KRISTINA BLANKSVARD Female Family ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Event(s): Birth: Christening: Death: Burial: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Marriages: Spouse: ISAK SALOMONSSON KORVI Family Marriage: 05 MAR 1871 Karl Gustav, Norrbotten, Sweden This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
