    3. >Tami, The John McDonald for whom you have no dates was actually Jonathan McDonald, according to his D.C. He died Aug. 19, 1889. He was 69 so was probably born in 1820. Again, thanks for all the work you are doing. Marion >==== MIHOUGHT Mailing List ==== >MIGenWeb Houghton Co. 3. HI, None of the photos have names or places on them.I think the buggy photo may have been taken near Phoenix. Have to have my Dad look at it since he was born there. I am back from Swissconsin..:O) I bought an old Norwegian Fremad Society Ledger from Calumet, it has records from 1890-1915,with 363 members listed. As soon as it comes in I will database it. Svein Strom is helping me with the translation of where they came from and their sponsors. I was so happy to get this back "home". Have a safe Memorial Day. Alicia This was the description from ebay: This is a Norwegian Fremad Society record book from Calumet, Michigan (Upper Peninsula, Keweenaw Peninsula, Houghton County, Copper Country, geology, mining, miner, mine, history) dating from 1890 thru 1915. It is a spreadsheet / ledger style , 8" by 10 3/4", 3/4 leather book containing the handwritten names, birthplaces, occupations, city of residence, age, etc. (my best guess based on my very limited knowledge of the Norwegian Language) of 363 members. The entries occupy 18 pages, which is approximately one-fifth of the book's capacity. Most of the members were copper miners and were born in Norway / Norge > Hi Alice, > While looking through those pictures did you run across any one named Corbeil, Corbeille, Harry, Wahtola or Moilenon ? > By the way great good my dear, I owe you two cups of coffee now the next time I am up.
