The death certificates of Allan R, McLeod several McDonalds just arrived. The have raised as many questions as they have answered. Allan R. McLeod died at the age of 38 from Spinal meningitis in 1899. If I read the DC correctly, his parents, John McLeod and Christie McKuwin McLeod was still alive and living in Michigan. Could someone please do a look-up on the 1900 census. Allen was living in Larium when he died. I will have to sort out the McDonald puzzle a bit before I ask for more help. Hi, they are in Quincy township: McLeod John born Oct 1835, age 65, married 43 years, immigrated 1868, naturalized, no employment, born Scotland, rents house. Christie born Nov 1835, age 64, 5 children born and 4 living, born Scotland, same immigration year as John. Murdock, born Feb 1865, age 35, single, stationery engineer, born MI. Christie A. born Mar 1867, age 33, born MI, school teacher. Jane born July 1873, age 36, born MI, no employment listed. Also living next door is a Thomas McDonald and family. Hi, 1910 finds them still in Quincy township: McLeod John age 79(on index, but could be 74) married 50 years, born Scotland immigrated 186?, AL, no employment. Christina age 74, born Scotland, 7 children born and 4 living. Murdock age 40, single, born MI, machinist at mining company. ?ristina age 38, single, born MI, teacher at public school.
