Hi Mary, The boards are messed up so i am writing this in as it keeps eating my posting. The Fremad was a society that was here in Calumet, as best as i can tell from the late 1800's to early 1900's. I bought the ledger from an ebay seller. Alfred M. Ystad born Norway, lives in Calumet, Sponsors Nelson and Halvorson on July 2, 1905 Harry Ystad born Vardo Norway lived Laurium, Peder Ystad, sponsors S. Nyhus? P. Ystad on 2-16-190? Alfred Ystad 18, born Hammerfest Norway lived Calumet, Peter Ystad born Trondheim , lived Calumet married to Brigitte Larsdotter Sten? Oct.12-1890. There are 363 members names listed along with some names on the back cover ledger.
