My great grandfather August Eilola was born June 9, 1872 I belive in Oulu Finland - one of his work applications says Oluland Finland - possible typo. His father is named as Jafet. Eilola - believe that my August may have been the brother of Matti and Frank. August was married to Hilma and they had one surviving child - Brunolf. In 1920 August and Hilma took in a border - Hilma Eilola - who was their niece = presume that the niece was the daughter of John and Mary Eilola also of Hancock. John and Mary had a number of children: Johannah - dau. b.c. 1894 August - son - b.c. 1900 Hilma - dau. - b.c. 1902 Esther - dau. b.c. 1905 Walter - son - b.c. 1906 Mattie W dau? - b.c. 1908 Else? M - dau - b.c. 1911 Jacob - Son - b.c. 1914 Edith - dau. b.c. 1912 Herman - son - b.c. 1915 Any information that anyone has on this family - I would appreciate. There is also a Matt Eilola who had a son Andrew who was killed in a hunting accident in Hancock in 1919. Andrew would have been 20 at the time of death. Trying to tie into related Eilola's.
