I am just now finding some information on her family. I believe This grave in the Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet is one of her relatives. This is what I have found so far with the Wahtola name, all from the Calumet area, and I am still trying to link it all together: Death Cert., dated 1,15,1952 for Milma Julian Wahtola (Halvary), wife of Jonas Wahtola. Death Cert., dated 1,31, 1959, for Maria Wahtola, widow of Jonas Wahtola, informant was George Wahtola. Death Cert., dated 12,24, 1948, Alexander Wahtola (Erick A.), Father: John Wahtola, born Finland, Mother: Katherine Marsu, born Finland. (This is deffinately a brother to my grandmother, Margaret Wahtola (Corbeil).) Marriage Lic., dated October 18, 1944, of John Paul Wahtola to Julia Alice Lassila, parents of John Paul are John Wahtola and Anna Danula. (I believe this is a nephew to Margaret, and that the second John Wahtola was her brother). Marriage Lic., dated Sept.4, 1908, Maggie(Margaret) Wahtala to Peter Corbeil, parents of Maggie: Jake Wahtala and Katie Larsi. (I believe the spellings somehow got put in wrong and the Wahtala and Wahtola names are the same family. The Katie Larsi on this document is the same Katherine Marsu on Alexanders' death cert., I don't know which is correct last name. John and Jake Wahtola/Wahtala, I believe are same person).
