I have a great grandmother named Mammie (Marie/Mary) Sampson. She married John Trudell 19 August 1901 in Calumet. They were Catholic. I have been told that her parents' names were Joseph Sampson and Adeline Tardiff and that they were from Canada (no place in particular). Mammie died 19 April 1922 in Calumet. In her obituary, it states that she is survived by a brother, Joseph Sampson, of Ahmeek. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this Sampson family. I am trying to find out where in Canada to look for them. I would think Quebec, but don't know where?? Thanks alot for the help.......... Laurie Bashaw Ishpeming, MI
