After pretty much exhausting my search for Joseph Hammes born 1847 Prussia, I've decided on a different approach. Andrew Perro witnessed his mariiage in Ontonogan County; Andrew Perron named as uncle and Joseph Perron named as cousin in Anton (joseph son) Hammes' C&H record; Andrew Perrong is listed in C&H semiCentennial paper; Andrew and France Piraux are named as sponsors on Peter (another of Joseph sons) Hammes baptismal certificate. I do believe these are the same people. If anyone has information on Andrew's family I sure would appreciate it. Fidning this family should help me find more about Joseph Hammes or his spouse, Crescentia Wittmann.
