Johansen, Oslo, Norway Regarding Christian Mattisen Niskavara, last year I thought this was a possibility for my grandfather, Christian Wilhelm Mattson, b. in Norway 1869. However, after further investigation by several people, I was told that according to the 1900 census of North Varanger, today a part of Vadso Parish; Kristian Niskavara married to Emma Emeline Korbi, born in 1873. Kristian works as a fisherman. Their children are Joan b. 1891, Julian born in 1896, Helga b. 1898 and Marie b. Oct. 1900. Ida E. Niskavara b. in 1886 daughter of Eva K. Eriksen, born in 1844, Finland Ida is single. Eva K. is a widow. So, it looks like this Christian did not leave Norway. Would be very interested if you find this information is not correct or is you find other possibilities. Still hoping for find Christian Wilhelm Mattson, Pat
