Linda, I cannot confirm any of your information. However, My Aunt & Uncle Bob and Shirley (Yates )Makolin purchased a clothing store in Laurium that had been referred to as Johnson's Clothing store for as long as I can remember. I believe they bought the store in the late sixties or early seventies. The store still had all the old fixtures, desk and other furniture that certainly showed it was from the times you mentioned.
