I think they were close friends or family? My GG Grandmother was named Adelaide Lammerand (or Lamirande?)and she was born about 1846 in the Sault. I have not been able to find any records for her before the 1870 census, in MI where she was listed with husband Peter Corbeil (Pierre Corbielle). they married about. 1861, have not found marriage record for them yet. Also, one of their sons, Albert, my G Grandfather, married a Mary Lamirande, (married a Shea first, then Albert in 1887). I have not traced this Lamirande name at all yet, not finding any leads or connections so far. Do you see any connection to your branch?
