Martin Flens was my Great Great Grandfather, so I'm guessing that you may have met (possibly) my dad or uncles (Helen's grandsons) if you came to the Cleveland area. Can you share any info on what you found at Ellis Island? I have seen (at least online) where Martin came over in 1873 (off the top of my head) and then somehow went back, and then again arrived back in Calumet. I see that Victoria and 4 kids came over in 1897. Do you have these documents from Ellis Island? Keep this blog going, let's help our ancestors live again.
