Rolloff - Journal, The - (Sep/7/2008) NEW ULM - Alice A. Rolloff, 90, of New Ulm died Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter and Father Mark Steffl celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a rosary by the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Christian Mother's Society will pray the rosary at 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral. Alice is survived by her husband, Vernon "Vernie" Rolloff of New Ulm; son and daughters-in-law, Ken and Vicky Rolloff of New Ulm, Karen Rolloff of Redwood Falls; grandsons, Jason Rolloff, Ryan Rolloff and Nathan Rolloff; a sister, Dolores Schugel of New Ulm; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Rolloff; and brothers, Walter Seifert and Florian Seifert. Alice Ann Seifert was born on February 28, 1918 in Sigel Township, Brown County to Robert and Clara (Wiltscheck) Seifert. She attended school in Sigel Township and Holy Trinity School in New Ulm. On September 11, 1941 she was united in marriage to Vernon Rolloff at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Alice enjoyed quilting, sewing, ceramics and was an avid Twins fan. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, the Christian Mother's Society, and the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Council.
