I'm thinking I'll be visiting Lake View Cemetery, Hecla Cemetery, the courthouse (deeds and county clerk), and the MTU archives. I have done extensive research on my Calumet Families already, just not in Calumet. Does anyone have any advice for these places? Amy I missing any places to go research? I'm also looking for places for leisure activite and tourist trap type places. Any advice would be appreciated. A good place to check out is the Houghton County Historical Society in Lake Linden - their Archive section is located in the same building as the Gift Shop. The volunteers there are very helpful.
