I am searching for information on A. R. MacLeod who lived around Hancock, MI in the 1890s. He sent my grandmother a studio photograph of himself and his wife (Christie?). He does not show up on the 1880 census. The photograph was sent to my grandmother before she married my grandfather in 1898. I have heard from two people who claim an A. R. MacLeod in their lines. I don't believe either is the right one but I find it interesting that so many of the MacLeods were known by those two initials. I believe that this A. R. was related to my grandmother through either the MacLean or MacDonald line on Skye. Marion Markham
