    1. [MIHOUGHT] I have an old finnish family bible, Huhta maybe and obits in it

Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg//2FB.2ACI/1771 Message Board Post: Hi, I bought someone's very old large Finnish bible yesterday.I am trying to place the family.There were names of births and deaths recorded in it but no last name.The bible itself it in terrible shape.Of interest was a key imbedded in the pages, there is no evidence of a lock having been on the bible. There are other newspaper cutouts but i cannot read them as they are in the old flowery script. If by chance a family member is reading this, contact me at home.Otherwise it will go to Finlandia archives. Vainajan lapsia on kolme poikka elossa ja 5 tyttöä,3 miniää,5 vävyä, lastensa lapsilla lapsukaisia 33, sekä myös heidän jälkeen 4,jotka on lasten lasten lasten lapsia ,sekä vainajan sisaren lapsia tässä maassa ja Suomessa ja Herran viinamäen, työmiehiä lukuisa joukko.Viimeisiä elonsa päivä on vainaja viettänyt vävynsä Mr. ja Mrs. Antti Pyykkösen luone Chassell, Houghton Co.Mich. hänen maallinen vaellus päättyi Marrask.8 päiva 1925.Nukkuos unta rauhaisaa pitkän päivätyösi päättyessä. Other names,Mr and Mrs Adolf Hiettalalle Mr and Mrs Kalliolle, Mrs and Mrs Ed.Pyykkösen. A bit more on the above.Found some more obits but did find an envelope with this written on it in English Effy, Lydia, Misses Effie and Lydia Mr Alfred and Arthur Huhta. A slip of paper with this Third Edith I'd like to be a Christmas star, Shining in the sky.(this could be Edith's line in a Christmas play) An obit for Briita Maija Myllykosken os.Ojala i think.One for Edna Sundquist,Carl Alfred Kostamo, Eino Alexanderin Pietilä , wife Hanna Peitilä os.Eskola. These obits will also go to Finlandia archives. They are from the old Päivälehti Newspaper that was in Calumet. Alicia
