What is your relationship to Halvor? On my graqndfather's death certificate it says that his father was Iver Opland. Elias signed the death certificate. In Norway, I found out that Ivar's father was Ivar Olsen Opland. I also found out that Ivar had a brother, Halvor, born on July 10, 1850 in Sounndal and confirmed in Flatanger on September 9, 1865. Recently I found an LDS church note that said Ivar's father's name was S.O. Opland. I have received a lot of info from Faith Norwegian Lutheran Church in Calumet, Michigan.
