I suspected that Houghton Co. took in Keweenaw Co. in 1856. Only the marriage record will clear up the confusion of whether the husband was Joseph or Frank Lorenz. Henrietta (Sibilsky) Lorenz lived into her 90's. She continued to live in Portage township in close proximity to Sibilsky and Schultz relatives. The Portage Lake Mining Gazette reports a Joseph Lorenz (carpenter) being shot and killed by Warner, Nov. 24,1869. p.s. Thanks for scanning "Our Boys in the Spanish - American War"
