As for Halvor's parent's names - I think it was Iver Olson (?) but I'll have to do some more checking and get back to you. Do you think that Peter, Ole, Elias, Ivar and Halvor were all brothers?? In your search, do you know if they entered the States through the St. Lawrence seaway? I don't feel they would have come through Ellis Island and then end up on the tip of MI.
