Married to Anna Marie Benediksdottes on Aug 11, 1872 in Norway. Believe they and their 3 oldest children came into the US via Northern Michigan in 1883 from the Namsos Norway area. Halvor, Anna & Children ended up in the La Crosse WI area by late 1884. We have old family photos from Red Jacket Michigan and Houghton Michigan and believe they are of Halvor's family. One of the names on the photo is "Lottie Turk". Red hair runs in the Opland family. Have been to Houghton for research but couldn't make the link between Halvor and anyone in the area. Can anyone help? Thanks
