*Minerva E. Yates ---- 27 June 2003 TAMARACK WATERWORKS —* Minerva E. Yates, 90, a resident of Tamarack Waterworks passed away Thursday morning, June 26, 2003, at Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center in Laurium. She was born on January 22, 1913 in Hancock, a daughter of the late Elmer and Jennie (Kotila) Marjamaa. She attended Calumet High School graduating with the Class of 1931. On January 22, 1934, she married Clarence Yates in Calumet and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1975. Minerva made her home in Tamarack Waterworks since 1960. She was a member of Calumet United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Bill (Sharon) Yates of Tamarack Waterworks; two daughters, Claire (Clifford) Knight of Springhill, Fla., Sandra Yates of Vancouver, Wash.; a grandson, Chris Yates of San Francisco; three granddaughters, Lisa Goltz of S.C., Penny Jones of Vancouver, Wash., Susan Indergard of Longview, Wash.; five great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her special friends, Paula Jackovich, Sharon Lamerand and Bud Rowe. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2003, at 10 a.m. in the Erickson-Crowley Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob White to officiate.
