    1. [MIHOUGHT] listing locations of family info?
    2. mary kahkola
    3. Is there a list of local resources for where to look when researching our Finnish ancestors? The time I hired a researcher in Houghton, she said "she retrieved some stuff at the Michigan Tech Archives." I found a listing online for the Finnish American Heritage Center & Historical Archive in Hancock. I haven't checked into what they have yet. Can our listers add to these 2 places? Which libraries have collections of early 1900's history? Are there any R.A.O.G.K volunteers in the area? At this point, I'm looking at South Range & Atlantic Mine locations. I'm a 9 hour drive away, and that's with dry roads & no construction projects. If anyone needs help in the Oceana-Muskegon-Ottawa county areas-I'm available... Thanks in advance! cousin Mary in West MI. [email protected]

    3. Hi Mary Kathleen Atwood was doing lookups for people but I don't know if she is still monitoring the list. The Mich. Tech archives is wonderful along with Finlandia University archives, local libraries and of course the Houghton county court house. Have you checked on all of the main Houghton county links for information? http://www.mfhn.com/houghton/index.html Alicia > Is there a list of local resources for where to look when researching our > Finnish ancestors?
