    2. I'd actually think it would be good if HKCGS altered their website (if they would be willing of course) to allow Hecla submissions along with a source citation from the public.  Or maybe, MIGENWEB would be the place for a master list? 3. Hello Jeff and Rick, Actually, I like both of your ideas for helping with our "genealogical research" by having the Hecla Cemetery burials all in one place. I would be willing to take on the project and work at it during weekends. I am not sure how, or if, we could get permission to take the information from the HKCGS web page or the grave stone photos that Greg Skoviak and others have posted and then post the information on the Find a Grave web site. Both have restrictions listed on the use of their materials. For the time being, we might just need to check all the available web pages for information for our "genealogical research" regarding those who are buried in the Hecla Cemetery. Thanks for your interest and your suggestions. 3. Hi all. I have been reading the posts about people being able to post grave stone submission to a site and am working up a database and the pages to allow that on the Houghton County MIGenWeb site. I hope to have something up and read in the next week or two and will announce it to the list with the link. I have set it up for Keweenaw Co. if anyone is interested. Even if there is an entry you can still enter your reading and/or photo. http://www.mfhn.com/keweenaw/cemeteries/ Pat Hamp http://houghton.migenweb.net ----- Original Message ----- From: <antayaje@msu.edu> To: <mihought@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 23, 2009 3:01 PM Subject: Re: [MIHOUGHT] Burials at Hecla Cemetery I'd actually think it would be good if HKCGS altered their website (if they would be willing of course) to allow Hecla submissions along with a source citation from the public. 3. Hello Pat, Thank you for creating this new database for the Hecla Cemetery in Calumet. I do notice on the site you created for Keweenaw that the entries are for a grave inscription and photos. Most of the gravestones at Hecla are missing, thus all that we might be able to enter is information from the death record that a person was buried at Hecla Cemetery. This information has become more available with the publishing of the Seeking Michigan death records online. I have a number of people who were buried at Hecla but no gravestones exist. Will there be some way to add the information to your new web page even though we do not have information or photos from gravestones? Thank you for this special project you have started.
