As I said in my earlier post, I am more interested in William's wife's side (Edwards) since this is where I fit in. All I know is that in the post with Richard Bastian's obituary, there a couple of grandchildren listed that match those of William and Elizabeth's children (Flossie and Clarice), so I pretty much assumed that William was the son of Richard (not 100%). It doesn't seem like there were really a bunch of Bastian's in Calumet, so I feel that it is a fairly safe assumption. William, I know was born in England (abt 1859) and very well could be Thomas' brother (?). I have been gathering some information on William and Elizabeth's children that is not listed yet on ancestry.com, but that is all the information I have on any Bastians.
