Smedman of Marquette , Thursday evening near Dollar Bay., passed away at 4;30 Saturday morning in St. Joseph's hospital. Coroner Jon McCarthy, who investigated the death said the inquest will be held, the date to be announced later. The deceased was born in Norway and came to this county at the age of five years, locating with his parents in the copper country where he has resided ever since. He is survived by his widow, and nine children, Hubert, Robert, Martin, Ralph and Dorothy at home, Clarence of Detroit, Florence and George of Marquette and John of Newberry. He is also suvived by his mother Mrs Eliza Wenberg of Point Mills, three sister , Mrs N. Ewen of Hubbell, Mrs Alfred Anderson of Alaska and Mrs Thomas Nicholls of Wilmington Del. and a brother James of Point Mills.
