Would anyone know of a good history of Calumet? My ancestors lived there from the late 1880s to about 1915. I would appreciate any suggestions for a good history of the city and the smaller towns that were incorporated into it - Red Jacket, Swedetown, Raymbaultown, Tamarack, etc. Thanks. I found a couple of births and marriages in that area. The family must have gone back and forth to Canada (I assume). There seems to be a gap between the births of the children. I found the marriage of Daniel Fisher, age 25 and Delia Couture, age 16, of Benton TWP, MI, she was born in Cheboygan, MI. I didn't see her birth record in their county records or I could have missed it. You may want to try the Church records in Cheboygan and see if you can locate a baptismal record.
