    1. [MIHOUGHT] Citizenship
    2. If someone believed they filed their intent to become a citizen in Houghton County around 1912, where would those records be held? My grandfather immigrated in 1907 or 08 and according to the 1920 census (he was living in Hancock), he became a naturalized citizen in 1912. Any suggestions on where I might look for his papers? LANG, was born in Calumet in 1875. He is listed on the 1900 census living on Pine Street with his parents. He is listed as single on the 1920 census, age 43, living with his mother and siblings on Lake Linden Avenue. I cannot locate James in 1910. I recently acquired his employment record from the Calumet Hecla Mining Company from 1916, and it says he was married to Laura ERMATINGER November 16, 1908. An aunt of mine remembers hearing rumors that James had been married at one time. Looking for any information on this marriage. I would like to determine if Laura died, or if they were divorced. Laura may have been from the Sault Sainte Marie area, since James also worked there in 1915. He also worked at the Manitowac Shipbuilding Company in Wisconsin, so Laura could be from Wisconsin. I am unable to find James and Laura in 1910. Does this ERMATINGER family ring a bell with anyone? Katherine Palmer http://myheritagesite.com
