The death certificates of Allan R, McLeod several McDonalds just arrived. The have raised as many questions as they have answered. Allan R. McLeod died at the age of 38 from Spinal meningitis in 1899. If I read the DC correctly, his parents, John McLeod and Christie McKuwin McLeod was still alive and living in Michigan. Could someone please do a look-up on the 1900 census. Allen was living in Larium when he died. I will have to sort out the McDonald puzzle a bit before I ask for more help. As always, I am grateful for all the help I have received over the years. Marion

Hi, Last week on ebay i bought 4 documents from the Den Skandinaviske Forening "Fremad" from Calumet Michigan. I dont know what these exactly say but i think they give the persons name, occupation , where born and who sponsored them. Here are the names, Mrs Liuda? , Ingeborg Jensen, L.G. Strom/Ström and Josef Bringedahl. These date from 1909-1915. If anyone on the list had these names i can scan and send you a copy via an attachment. Alicia Marshall

Are you sure on the immigration date? She came with her family when she was 12? I actually can find a person of suitable name and age in Cornwall census. .. note the servant... Perhaps a relative anyway, or if you are using the immigration date from the 1900 census, those are frequently wrong. Could easily immigrate and marry, after 1881 census, and still have a child in 1884 Linda Household: Name Relation Marital Status Gender Age Birthplace Occupation Disability John EDWARDS Head M Male 37 Ludgvan, Cornwall, England Farmer Of 40 Acres Employing 1 Man Jane EDWARDS Wife M Female 36 Zennor, Cornwall, England Farmers Wife Jane G.
