    3. You need to go through L'Anse and continue north along the bay. When you rounded the bay toward Baraga you used to see the Ford Water Tower off to the right. That was Pequaming. We rented summer cottages there when my mother's cousin was the minister at the Suomi Synod church on the north side of town. Lots of Bats. The Fremad was a society that was here in Calumet, as best as i can tell from the late 1800's to early 1900's. I bought the ledger from an ebay seller. Alfred M. Ystad born Norway, lives in Calumet, Sponsors Nelson and Halvorson on July 2, 1905 Harry Ystad born Vardo Norway lived Laurium, Peder Ystad, sponsors S. Nyhus? P. Ystad on 2-16-190? Alfred Ystad 18, born Hammerfest Norway lived Calumet, Peter Ystad born Trondheim , lived Calumet married to Brigitte Larsdotter Sten? Oct.12-1890. There are 363 members names listed along with some names on the back cover ledger.
