    1. [MIHOUGHT] Looking for "nine locks".
    2. Ruth and Roy Jurva
    3. For quite some time now I've been looking for a picture of my father, August Jurva in a Hancock, Michigan police uniform. He was with the Hancock police dept circa 1920's . He was fondly known as nine locks as that time Hancock had a curfew and kids had to be off the streets then. He would run 'em home and say "nine locks bedtime". If anone has a picture of Hancock policemen around the early 1920's, I would like to see if my father could be identified in it. I was told they never took pictures of their police at that time and in fact they still don't so it's almost impossible to search local records, so my only hope is if someone out there had family members in the dept. they may have an old picture with him in it. I know he was in around 1923. I would gladly pay for a picture which I could identify him in it. This is important to me for family historical and geneology purposes. Contact me either thru e-mail ot write to me at; Roy Jurva 31436 Emily Lk Rd Toivola, Mi. 49965 Ph: (906) 288-3733

    3. This is great information. I have not seen that spelling of the last name before but it's definitely the right family. They moved to Canada so that is probably why they disappear from your records after 1910. Thank you so much for your help. Dawn Ojanpera (Oijampara?)
