Jane Chapin, had son Iaa Chapin Smith b. 1814; had daughters Laura Smith, Lydia Smith and son Edwin Smith b. 1830 Mt. Hope, Orange aCo. NY. Edwin was my mother's father. (Ira (Sr.) lived Erie, Monroe Co. MI. Ira Chapin Smith married Alice Prudence (Brightman). They had sons Henry, Focian, Parker, Leander, Hernando. They lived Wright Twp. Hillsdale Co. MI. After Prudence died, Ira Chapin Smith married Emeline Church but no new children. Ira Chapin Smith's sister Lydia Smith married Everett Norris and they had son Ira Norris b.1855. Both Lydia and Everett died before 1862.
