He married Mahala Saunders (father: Franklin B. Saunders) b. 5 Apr 1821 d. 11 Jan 1888 on 28 Nov 1839 in Franklin County, MI. According to probate records for his estate, they had 5 Children: William C. Burns (my ancestor) b. 7 Dec 1845 d. 7 Jan 1911, Luisa Maria (Mary) Burns, Charles Wesley (or William) Burns, Ellen Sophia Burns, John Justice Franklin Burns. After Charles died, Mahala married Rowland Bailey b. 1815. They had at least one child. William C. Burns married Agnes Wheaton b. 1855 d. 1906 they had 2 children Justus Burns b. 6 May 1896 d. 1 Aug 1948 and Agnes Burns b. 1892 d. 1992. After William died in a logging accident, Agnes remarried Mr. Elliot they had 2 known children Frank Elliot and Emma Elliot b. 1877 d. 1966. Justus Burns married Eva Bowlby b. 2 Dec 1900 d. 26 Sep 1999 on 6 May 1917. They had 2 children Harold Walter Burns b. 30 Jan 1919 d. 28 Feb 1999 and Vivian Irene Burns b. 6 Jan 1926. Agnes Burns married Henry (Pat) Wells b. 1883 d. 1971 she later married Bert E. Dolph b. 1887 d. 1918. I have photographs of most of these people graves and electronic documentation on most of them. I am searching for information on Charles and Mahala's parents and anything on their decendents. I'm also looking for more information on the Bailey and Elliot family and the Wells and Dolph family.
