Recently I restarted too. Went to the North Adams cemetary where William & Clarinda have a huge excellent tombstone; I got a picture & will send you. William's mother Ann has a tombstone in the Jonesville cemetary that has cracked & fallen. All efforts to find William & Clarinda's death certificates, that would list Clarinda Hall's parents' names, have come to naught. There is no Hillsdale certificate but maybe a neighboring county. I'm trying to broaden focus & see the family as a whole. John Lynch's will is in the county deed book & lists an (eldest?) son Joseph Briggs Lynch so I'm going to find what I can about him; the middle name Briggs might be Ann's maiden name. Theres a Briggs road in Branch County where Joseph lived; maybe some cousins emigrated from England too. Another of John's sons, thus William's brothers, a James A. Lynch, seems to have moved to Washtenaw County & become a doctor. Hillsdale saved their 1884 State census & therein your Wesley is listed:! Wesley Lynch, 25, & Laura, 27 w/ Jessie 9 & Nellie 7. There's an descendent of John's daughter Ann who has found some information from England; I'll put you in touch. The Hillsdale library has a box of old naturalization papers that might include William's. William may or may not be a Civil War veteran; his son George Alfred definately was. Roots Web only accepts photos or GEDCOM file attachments; get w/ me & I'll email a Word attachment summarizing evetything I've found so far. Dave
