Surnames: Haynes, Spencer, Paddock, Stites, Miller, Amsbaugh, Athey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gFB.2ACE/1250.1 Message Board Post: Thanks to Jenna`s observation in the 1870 Hillsdale, Wdbrg MI. census -John Spencer 38 b.NY.& Harriet 24 b.MI., Thurza 15 b.Ohio, Rose 13 b.MI, Ruth 2 b.MI. So I looked at all Thurza`s in Michigan on the 1880 census. Hundreds later I found a Theresa who had mar. Alfred Haynes and was living in Woodbridge. Her age was right, parents b. NY. (1st wife), They were farming. Their first dau. was named Harriet (the grandmother`s name who came to MI. from Ohio ) age 8. And Mary Hayes age 6. Then on the 1910 census from Hlsdle, Camden twp., the child Edward Spencer (1880 census )probably is the Edward Spencer of Hlsdale, Camden twp. His wife is a barely legible Rowena, they have two daus., names can`t be read. Is the Haynes family familiar to anyone? I did notice a large number of Haynes in Hillsdale Co. More cousins in the same area are Stites, Ritchie, Paddock, Miller, Plopper, more. ws
