    1. [MIHILLSD] Hello. Looking for info on STORMS, WOLCOTT, CLEVELAND, and WARREN families

    3. I'm trying to gather information about my ancestors in Hillsdale County. I'll take anything anyone has. My ggggrandfather William L. Wolcott settled in Hillsdale County about 1847. His wife Sarah Storms Wolcott is buried in Sunset View Cemetery. Their son, David A. Wolcott, was born in Ohio but lived his entire adult life farming in Scipio. I don't know when he died. He married Helen A. Cleveland in 1862 right before he enlisted in the Union Army. They had a daughter, Alice Almira Wolcott who was born in 1863--I don't have a precise date. Basically, I am looking for any data that is easily obtainable on the following people. 1860 Census info for Ira Warren -- b. NY -- I think he died in Hillsdale Co. He was Helen Cleveland's grandfather. He and his wife, Eliza, both appear in the 1860 Census. They were in their 60s. Eliza Sharpsteen Warren Children living with them in 1860: Samuel Warren (b. 1833)* John Warren (b. 1835)* George Warren (b. 1841)* Amanda Warren (b 1843) * There are Samuels, Johns, and George Warrens in the 1870 census for Hillsdale Co, but I am not sure any of them are connected to my group. I've tried to figure out who enlisted in the Civil War and think John and George went, but not Samuel. Can't find any of them in GENDIS either, dagnabit. William L. Wolcott -- I have a bio from the USGenWeb site for Hillsdale County for 1888. He is evidently still alive at the time it was written so I know he must have died after 1888. David A. Wolcott b. 1842 Ohio Helen A. Cleveland Wolcott, b. 1845 NY Alice A. Wolcott b. 1863 married Frank Storrs and then lived from 1880 to 1957 in North Muskegon, where she is buried with her husband's family. If anyone knows of anything pertaining to these families, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. I have most of what is available on the Web including censuses through 1880. After that, it seems to be harder to track. Thanks for any insight or help. Rikki Nyman
