My Hillsdale ancestor is my great great grandfather, James Burdette? GREEN(e) born 16 APRIL 1849 to Mason O. and Mary Anna (SHELDON) GREEN probably in Huron Co., Ohio. He was called Bert and sometimes J.B.� On 22 JULY 1871, He married Margaret E. FELTIS, daughter of Soloman and Catharine (WADE)� FELTIS of Ireland and Benton, Crawford Co., Ohio. They had three sons, Willis and Milo who died as infants, and Claude Thomas GREEN born in 1 MARCH 1874.� Margaret died in 1877 from complications from consumption. ���� He married his 2nd wife Huldah KING, daughter of Lemuel/Samuel and Mary (WHITELEATHER) KING on 1 JUNE 1878, in Hillsdale, MI?.� Huldah was blind. Her mother, Mary WHITELEATHER's family was from Alasac Lorraine. Huldah was born about� 29 JULY 1853. Before she married James B., she had a daughter Alice born in 1874 from a former marriage. Alice married Ed Haggaman. ���� James B. and Huldah had six children: (1) Samuel Ruben born 27 OCT 1878 in Amboy twp., Hillsdale Co., MI. He married 31 AUG 1907 to Blanche BAILEY. Samuel died 19 JUNE 1951 in Hillsdale, MI and buried in So. Amboy Cemetary. (2)Mary Georgianna (Georgie) was born 28 MAR 1880 in Amboy twp., Hilldale Co. She married Loren BRITTON. Georgie died about 1955 in Sturgis, MI. (3)James Burdette (Burt) born 21 SEPT 1882 Amboy twp., Hillsdale Co. He married Viva HARMON. Burt died about 1973 in Camden twp., Hillsdale Co. (4)Harvey Lester was born 22 JULY 1885 in Amboy twp., Hillsdale Co. He married Abbie EWING. Harvey died 18 NOV 1966 in Hillsdale and is buried in So. Amboy twp. cemetary. (5)Laura May was born 31 JULY 1890 in Amboy twp. Hillsdale Co.,MI. She married Victor SPIETH on 1 DEC 1908 in Frontier, MI. (6)Marion Lee (Lee) was born 25 March 1892 in Amboy twp., Hillsdale Co. He married Lida A. Barnhart on 8 July 1912. Lee died 6 MARCH 160 in Pratteville, Hillsdale Co., MI. He is buried in Waldron Cemetary.
