Source: Hudson Gazette 13 May 1879 Joseph Pixley received a telegram telling him that his son, Orrin A. Pixley, was killed yesterday by a collision at Franklin, 40 miles from St. Louis, on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was single, aged 27 and had left Hudson about 3 years ago. He leaves his parents.
