    3. Lister's, I just located a letter that was written to my Grand Aunt with a dateline of January 9, 1904. In this letter the writer John F. King mentions that his wife is named Roxana and wishes to be addressed as Aunt Roxana. If I am correct John is the son of Luther King who was born somewhere in Columbia County, New York and moved to Hillsdale County after 1839 when his father Amos King died. In the letter John relates to my aunt that he has one sixteen year old granddaughter who comes to dinner each day (he does not give her name). John and his wife had visited Oregon in 1899 and had come there by train. I am wondering if anyone might know of this family and could put me in touch with their descendants? I am also inquiring as to where I might locate copies of the "Detroit Genealogical Research Magazine" this magazine was published in the early 1970"s however I do not know the exact year. The subject of the article would have connected this King family to the New England King family of William and Dorothy King who resided in Salem and Beverly Massachusetts. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide in this matter. Bye the Bye "King" is the surname of my paternal grandmother and I believe that William and Dorothy Kinge are my eighth great grandparents who arrived in the colonies from England in April 1636 on the Abigale. -- Daniel David Lewis Frommherz Come visit my web site www.McKenzieValleyMarket.com please write and tell me what you think of it.
